An old bone

Now is the time of year when you can see things that the grasses and flowers hid in the summer. This morning I was looking at this old head bone. Can you see where the animal's eye hole is? What big eyes this creature had!
If you look carefully, you can see a tooth has fallen out and is lying under the skull.
Can you tell this animal was a herbivore?

Mimi brought it from the farm a couple of years ago. I put it in the side yard with some periwinkle and iris. There is also a pelvis and a thigh bone, but they are so overgrown you can barely see them.

Hi Sarah,
You're right - it is a head. It's only the top part of the head, the lower jaw is long gone.
Mimi found it hiking out in the pasture on the far side of the barn.
Do you remember going to Mimi's farm when you were little?
love,
Wren
