Sudden shower

Every day the weather report says "thundershowers possible". We've been waiting. Sometimes we get clouds, sometimes a breeze, sometimes we hear thunder off in the distance. It's been weeks. Then, suddenly -

Hooray! All over the yard trees and grass and all kinds of plants are drinking in the long awaited water. They are waving green leaves and cheering with plump flowers.

Wet May

We didn't have so many April showers. May, however, is quite wet so far.

It isn't raining now, but the raindrops are still dripping from the trees and clothes line.
Watch out when the wind blows!
All those rain drops blow right down on your head!

A spiderweb ship

A little rain, a little sun, a little more rain - our weather swings back and forth. This morning I found a little spiderweb ship all covered in water drops, sailing along in the pine. If you enlarge the image, you can see the sails.

April Showers

Bring May Flowers" and the heavy rains bring the April flowers down.

Underneath this tree is a carpet of wet flower petals that have fallen down with the rain.

Wet Weather

It has really been raining and storming here. Water is making ponds where it shouldn't - like in the road. Some people enjoy splashing in the water but most people are unhappy. People can't drive their cars in the water. Our pond is full of water too. The pond is a good place for water.
The pond creatures like the wet.
Dragonflies grow up in water. Now this larva has crawled out of the water and is changing into a dragonfly.
Of course the frogs love this weather. They are calling to each other, ga-gunk! ba-bunk!
The wetter the better for frogs - they don't have to drive cars!
