In which I return to blogging and complaining

Another holiday, but the same old story.
My people bring me to the holiday place.
There are the usual big people and some funny little people, the Old Gal and her Old Guy, and the usual incomprehensible stuff that they all do.
And there is food. All that good-smelling food just sitting around and no body sharing it with a deserving dog.
It was "Down, Chacko!" and "No, Chacko!" and "Don't knock down the baby, Chacko!" all day.
Boy, that can be tiring.
It took me hours to persuade a person to at least let me sleep on a lap.

Who's that knocking at my door?

Socks says someone is at the door. I don't see anyone, Socks. "Really!" she says. "I'm telling you there IS someone there!"
So I look out the kitchen window into the cold afternoon.
Oh. Someone is out there. Only it is such a small someone that I didn't see it at first!

"It's cold out here," says little 'Possum. "Can't I come in?"
Uh, no, I don't think so...

Why Corgis don't make good sled dogs

I believe the Old Gal mentioned that she doesn't mind cold --

but snow - snow is another story.

A little bounding is fine...

but a little is enough already.

Insulated dog

Cold? Ha!
I look down on you weak creatures. So what if it's 2 degrees?
MY kind don't mind a little cold.
I could probably even live in Wyoming! I'll bet it's a lot like Wales.
Just don't ask me to pull your sled.

Frog in the Snow

Today is December 1st.
The first snow of the Winter is falling. The frogs are all snug in the mud in the bottom of the pond.
Except this one.
It doesn't mind the snow!
