Do you take all these pictures - they are fabulous!!!!
I'm not sure why he is called "Flicker", S, but he mostly feeds on the ground poking his long bill into soft soil after worms and grubs. Maybe it's the way he flicks his wings. The ground was frozen when I took these pictures out the bedroom window,so he was trying to eat the sumac berries.
