Not even December

I know it isn't really official Winter yet, but I am going to count today as the beginning of Winter.

It's the first snowfall of the year.

Sunrise

I love the morning light.

Now that the time has changed it is just dawn when I take the bird feed out.

The sun is just rising.

The golden early light makes everything it touches special. Outside...

and inside.

Good Morning, Moon

I wouldn't have been outside looking at the morning moon in the western sky except that the dog rudely woke us up EARLY.

Water, Fall

In the Fall the sky is wonderful.
I look out the kitchen window every morning to watch the sun rise.
But you don't have to always look UP to see the sky.

When I look down I see the sky in the birdbath.

I love to look into water and see sky!
Here's a bright bit of Fall leaves in the afternoon.

Not all the bird baths reflect...some are too full of fall leaves.

And now...too full of ice.

Trick or treat?

This is not the trick-or-treater I expected!

He has come calling just outside the window.

It is a great costume. I suspect Hawk is not waiting for candy.

Too bad I don't have some tasty mice in the Halloween bowl.

More than red

Did I say the Oak's red was a bit brownish this year?I just was too early for the full display.
That's a fine red!
Of course not everything is red.

There are some excellent yellows and oranges too.
