Mourning Dove is cold but not unhappy

"Snow on my shoulders?" "It's okay", says Dove.
"Under those outside feathers I have soft fluffy ones to keep me warm"
A little snow, a little ice - no matter.
It meant no shadows on Groundhog's Day.
And you know what that means!
Spring is coming SOON.

Sleeping in

Morning? What do you mean morning? Turn off that light.
I don't do mornings.

No help needed. Really.

You all are doing okay in here, aren't you? Don't need me for anything?
I'll just slip into the other room.
You stay there.
No, no, you don't need to get up.
You go on back in the living room.
I can help myself.

Squirrel in a bad mood

There you are, Squirrel.
The last time I saw you, you were jumping around in the pine trees.
Are you trying to shelter under that tail?
It's a little skimpy, isn't it? Looks like you are having a bad hair day.
"You just try keeping a tail fluffy in this weather!" says Squirrel.

"Besides, your hair doesn't look so great either."

Snow clue

Sometimes in the snow you see tracks and you know what animal has been around.
That doesn't work when the animal isn't on the ground.
For example, there is a squirrel up in these trees. You can't really see him, can you?
How do I know he's there?
He moves.
When he jumps, snow comes falling down.
Now can you see where he was?

So close and yet so far
